This
is our in ground pond (dug by moi), you can see the
water mint, iris, lilies and the base of the thalia.
You can see a few of my Koi swimming near the mint.

|
A
lotus centers this above ground pond. The white flowers
in the back ground are on an Oak Leaf Hydrangea, the
orange are Butterfly Weed. The picture deceives because
the irises (to right) are ground level to the wall of
the pond. The wall gets higher as you go to the end
opposite the falls, where it is 3 feet high. The wall
is 3 ft all the way back to the falls on the back side
& it obstructs the view of the peonies, lavender
& other plants in the bed between the pond &
the plants you do see! The plants you see are across
a rock path, a bed & another mulched path! Pics
do not show the depth that is actually there. The Oak
Leaf is at least 25 feet from the pond!

is the fence at the shade bed. Two climbing roses are
on it now. To the right is the soon to be arbor entrance
to the shade bed on the other side of the fence.
