Donna Lockman
Donna Lockman and her husband, Bob, garden on the west side of Charlotte, North Carolina in the small town of Lincolnton. zone7/
8

This is our in ground pond (dug by moi), you can see the water mint, iris, lilies and the base of the thalia. You can see a few of my Koi swimming near the mint.

A lotus centers this above ground pond. The white flowers in the back ground are on an Oak Leaf Hydrangea, the orange are Butterfly Weed. The picture deceives because the irises (to right) are ground level to the wall of the pond. The wall gets higher as you go to the end opposite the falls, where it is 3 feet high. The wall is 3 ft all the way back to the falls on the back side & it obstructs the view of the peonies, lavender & other plants in the bed between the pond & the plants you do see! The plants you see are across a rock path, a bed & another mulched path! Pics do not show the depth that is actually there. The Oak Leaf is at least 25 feet from the pond!
The bed behind pond. You can see the first path here and some of the perennials.
The in ground pond showing the Butterfly Bush and Coscosmia Lucifer. Excuse the red glad, I have been trying to move these from here. Only Japanese iris there now.
Koi eating in lower pond
Japanese Iris at lower pond
Butterfly bed with Verbena B., Daylily, Lambs Ears, Japanese Kiera, Soapwart.
Two shots of the Daylily bed
This is the fence at the shade bed. Two climbing roses are on it now. To the right is the soon to be arbor entrance to the shade bed on the other side of the fence.
This is my sundial and my gazing globe that I got from Hilda!
This is the Back Iris bed , I don't have one of the Main Iris Bed yet
