Clematis "Louise Rowe" rising on the peacock trellis which anchors a big barrel it's in. Behind LR on the other side of the deck grows the ceanothus hedge. Pretty contrast, methinks.

Rosa Rugosa "Hansa" edging the streetside rockery

Rosa Gallica "President De Seze" also wrongly called "Jenny Duvall". Extremely fragrant hot pink outer petaled/lavender inner petaled unusual, prolific rose in the rose garden under which is a sculptural head. The head is graced by hair that turns into roses. It's a beautiful piece but fully covered by the roses. Along the top of the fence is the monster clematis "Montana Rubens"

This is the beautiful shrub rose "Ghislaine de Felegondo" on one side of the round rockgarden that borders on the street. It's nearly thornless and extremely prolific, and easy care

Once blooming Mme Plantier on the corner opposite the Hansa on the street garden, with one of the two sun-sustaining rhodies in the bed.
